Development stage

Research origin

A liver-activated approach to an old problem.

Testosterone taken by mouth is extensively broken down by the liver before it can reach circulation, which is why most oral formulations have struggled to deliver consistent, predictable exposure. That first-pass metabolism is the central obstacle STC-101 is designed to work with, not around.

Our approach

Physiology-led design, tested stepwise.

01

Physiology-led design

The platform is informed by the known metabolic liabilities of testosterone.

02

Metabolic activation

STC compounds are designed for liver activation and testosterone release.

03

Stepwise de-risking

Computational, in vitro, and in vivo studies guide analog selection and formulation.

Current focus

Analog synthesis and in vitro screening
